Thanks! Gray Wolf!

Posted by steaprok on Apr-26-2007

I want to give a shout out to GrayWolf over at wolf-howl.com.

An awesome site I have on the top of my Google homepage! You know I wish i could work out a deal that everytime i write or say Google I would get a buck! Anyways it really is a great site that covers a bunch of online marketing material, written by a seemingly cool and very knowledgeable guy.  I also happened to attend the SEOclass, which is over here: http://seoclass.com/.

Now that also happens to be an awesome event which I was lucky enough to attend for free. Soooooo.

He hooked it up and posted a link to my post about how great SEO class was. And it was just a mutual link love fest, .. Im just kidding but it was just cool to get a link from someone I’ve been reading for a while. Even if its just for  SEOclass Shameless Self promotion.

Origins of steaprok….

Posted by steaprok on Apr-15-2007

I have come to see my SEO/SEM career as a mutation of a very nasty hobby I picked
up as a young teenager, GRaffiti. Seeing the work that I do on sites, my blog
my surname”steaprok”, my info, pop up on the search engines
gives me the same rush I used to gt when I drove benearth
the highway underpass, and I saw in think, dripping black spray paint
“steaprok”. The same rush of adrenaline, and dopamine. Almost
addictive! To know that I can in one way or
another “manipulate” a site or a document, and then watch it pop
up in the first results sometimes within days. So it all makes sense to me why I
continued to us th same tag I used in those days, as my SEO screen name.

New  locations:

Actually I was hoping for Google to do one in Miami or somewhere else in South Florida, I guess Orlando, Florida is south, but not as south as I would like. I strongly recomend catching Brads’ lecture, he is always very informative and knowledgable. I caught him at SEO class, and it was a delight. Also check out his blog , which is chock full of great info: http://www.ewhisper.net/

Google Pay Per Action and my opinions!

Posted by steaprok on Apr-12-2007

Well I know I always post about Google, and I cant help it. I deal with them alot. I like them a lot. Yes their a for profit company, yes they can do better regarding click fraud, yes they can be more transparent regarding their algo, but really they do provide us with  a lot of tools and information. In my opinion, they have MS playing catch up! and that’s a first!

Anyhow, I’m signing up for Google Pay per Action  Beta

http://services.google.com/payperaction/

Ill keep everyone posted as to how it works. I’m thinking it might be the best option for my current project at EFlyaway.com.
